This graduation thesis analyzes the peculiarities of the sanctions policy against Russia and determines the effect of the Russian embargo on the import of food products into Russia. contradance. In addition, there are identifiedpossible further developments in the crisis situation between Russia and a number of Western countries, as well as prospects for resolving conflicts between countries. In 2014, relations between Russia and Western countries were in crisis due to events in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine. Taking into account the current economic situation of the country, it is expedient to study the changes in trade and economic relations of the Russian Federation in the BRICS and determine the impact of anti - Russian and counter-sanctions on the economy of the Russian Federation. Sanctions and retaliatory restrictive measures affect the situation of the Russian economy. It is important to take into account the fact that sanctions affect the development of domestic products, stimulate import substitution, and allow Russia to increase and strengthen its foreign policy relations with other countries, in particular, with the BRICS countries.
