This study is a part of the project UNTRANSLATABLE RUSSIA WITH SUBTITLES. Idea of the research is based on the aesthetics of Russian everyday life. The purpose of this study is to understand the real Russian contemporary culture, to consider the daily routine of the urban periphery. The principle position is the uniqueness of the content. For this purpose I organized an expedition to the largest cities of Russia - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don. The route was chosen not by chance: it is not only peculiar "capitals", but also contrasting cities, each with its own atmosphere different from the others.
