This paper aims to reconstruct the nobles' revenue at the end of the 18th and the first decades of the 19th century on the case of Moscow Province. The study is based on the corps of sources, which includes, documents of management and record keeping, economic accounting records and legislative acts. In the first chapter, using the random sampling of data, the irrelevance of the two methods of counting noble incomes that were formulated by A. Kahan for the end of the 18th century is estimated. and I.D. Kovalchenko for the middle of the XIX century is proving. The essence of these methods is in multiplying the number of souls by the average size of the dowry. The second chapter describes the economic rights and privileges that the nobles possessed, and also shows by examples how much money could be taken by entrepreneurship in this or that sphere. In the third chapter, the income of Count N.P. Panin for the period 1792-1821/ The incomes for different years, the amount of income received from different articles for one year, the ratio of the incurred expense to the received income are compared and the tendency of the income change for the whole considered period is revealed.
