Over the past 50 years, Middle East`s countries have been the scene of military operations, revolutions, and international expansion. One of the main examples of military aggression and chaos was the political crisis in Libya in 2011. The North African country with ambitious ambitions, pursuing ambitious goals to increase the economic development of the African region in just a few months has become a territory of anarchy and tribal disputes. Six years of separate power in Libya showed that the state can develop only within the framework of a single power both within the country and in the international arena. The Libyan government is represented today by two blocs under the leadership of Khalifa Havtar and Faiz Saraj, who are moving steadily towards elections to the parliament and the presidency in 2018. However, events that took place for six years were highlighted by researchers selectively: in general, you can find articles about the Civil War of 2011 and the Arab Spring, which led to the overthrow of M. Gaddafi. The purpose of this work is to describe the political history of Libya, the causes and consequences of events and conflicts. For compiling a complete historical review, the reports of the UN Secretary-General, media reports of both Arabic and Western ones, as well as some Russian articles of researchers - orientalists, were used in the work.
