Development of a Software for the 3D Planetarium in the CAVE System

This study describes the development of an application that facilitates the exploration of space environment by implementing the virtual reality technology in 3D planetarium. The review of analogues, its methods and technologies is contributed. The advantages of the developed system сcompared with analogues are demonstrated. The tasks solutions are described, and the best one was chosen for application’s realization. Basic models of behavior and appearance of space objects are studied. The main principles of the development of Solar system’s virtual environment are demonstrated. In conclusion, the results of the developed system and compatibility with CAVE systems devices are given.
