Present research is devoted to the definition of the motives and incentives, which influence employment of Perm students. To achieve the goal of this research a Logit-model of binary choice was used and a survey of Perm students from eight universities was conducted to collect the data. Model includes financial, academic, social and demographic variables. Thus, there were obtained the following results in the paper. Financial support from the family reduces the probability of the combination of work and study, because of the lack of financial incentives. Age also plays an important role in the secondary employment of students, because they becomes more independent. Students who participate in various conferences and scientific seminars have a high probability of combination of study and work, because such students are extremely talented, active and ambitious.
