The Competition of LNG and Pipeline Natural Gas in the World Gas Market

In this work, the key attention is paid to deep factors at the level of national natural gas markets. Unlike most works that consider the price dynamics between large regional natural gas markets: reduction of price differentials, reduction of prices, provision of various discounts and so on, this paper aims to test, on the example of Europe, the hypothesis that a policy aimed at increasing the number suppliers of natural gas, companies operating on the national market, construction of new gas pipelines and regasification terminals, in other words, comprehensive diversification should be and to lower prices, in case of strengthening the negotiating position of consumers and the possibility of purchasing natural gas at the most attractive price, or to increasing the price of natural gas for end users if the capital costs incurred by importers of natural gas are included in the final cost of natural gas.
