IPO as Source of Financing

Over the last decade IPO is a fairly common tool for raising capital. In Russia, this tool is not very effective. The rapid growth in the number and volume of IPOs in the early 2000s was replaced by a significant decline in these indicators over the past few years. The paper examines the factors influencing the number and volumes of IPOs and SPOs in Russia. The cyclical component in these indicators has been identified and we found a number of macroeconomic indicators which have influence for these indicators such as the growth rate of the national economy, the growth rate of the world economy, the national exchange rate currency, the price of oil and the value of the MICEX index.
