Competitiveness Factors in the Regional Economy

This qualification work is devoted to the study on the Russian regional economy factors of competitiveness. Seventy five regions were researched for the period from 2006 to 2015. The study consists of three stages. At the first stage, the evaluation of the Russian regions competitiveness was conducted The method of Pareto regulation was used. At the second stage, the regions were divided into three groups. For this we used the method of k-means clustering. At the third stage, econometric modeling of competitiveness was done for three subsamples and the entire sample. Thus, the work confirms the hypothesis that the influence of factors depends on the level of competitiveness of the region. The degree of influence of competitiveness factors on the regional competitiveness is also determined.
