Legal Status of Joint-Stock Companies

In the framework of this work, the goal was to study the most important legal norms that determine the status of joint-stock companies in the Russian Federation. In addition, the study will evaluate the sporting aspects of the scientific doctrine on this topic. The object of the study are public relations related to the activities of joint-stock companies. The subject of the study are legal norms and scientific doctrine that define the concept and characteristics of joint-stock companies, the procedure for their creation, organization and liquidation, features of activities and management bodies. In the framework of this work, the main provisions on joint-stock companies were examined, the procedures for participation in joint-stock companies were analyzed, the powers of their management were examined, institutions such as reorganization and liquidation were studied with reference to joint-stock companies. Based on this study, we can conclude that there are gaps in the shareholder legislation. However, joint-stock companies are one of the most attractive organizational and legal forms for its participants.
