Factors Affecting the Volume of Overdue Debts of Firms to Russian Banks

The research addressed the question of factors affecting the volume of overdue debts of firms to Russian banks. Despite the fact of numerous revoking of banking licenses by the Central Bank, number of non- performing loans and credit risks have been increasing. It has negative influence on the economic structure of the country in general. So that, it is important for banks to know what factors have the most significant influence on the overdue debts to optimize their credit risk management. Panel data for the period from 2009 year to 2016 year were used in the current research. It was analyzed by the econometric: log- linear model with fixed effects was estimated. As a consequence statistically significant variables are crisis, coefficient of firms' autonomy and reproduction, their financial results and average rate for credits. Besides the hypothesis about significance of an interaction effect between firms' assets liquidity and crisis was tested, however was not proved.
