Determinants of Prices for Hairdressing Services

This study is devoted to identification of significant determinants of prices for hairdressing services, and to determine the degree of their importance. The literature review contains works on hedonic pricing model in service sector, which in turn helped to determine the inclusion of a number of factors and the choice of log-linear specification for constructing the final regression model. The final sample included 679 hairdresser's located throughout the Perm City for 2018. The presence of quality repairs at the saloon is one of the most significant factors, as well as location in the central area, the working hours, the availability of Wi-Fi in the room and the presence of hairdressing salon own website. Then the sample was divided into 4 territorial categories. In each area results were obtained, corresponding to the economic and social conditions.
