Party Switching in the Transformation’s Process of the Party System in Russia

This study is devoted to inter-party transitions in the process of transformation of the party system in Russia. On the example of candidates for deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation with their party characteristics, an attempt was made to intervene and to improve the efficiency of inter-party transitions. We are asking ourselves what role the institutionalization and structural characteristics of the party system play in this process. The study was conducted within the framework of the methodology of neoinstitutionalism of rational choice using biographical and comparative analysis methods.
