Evolution of Regional Represеntation in the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the RF

This Master Thesis examines Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation. Federation Council faced significant changes in last five years: New Federal Laws about Federation Council’s members were adopted, also Federation Council’s composition has changed. New Federation Council’s members received their mandates. In five-year period from 2012 to 2017 346 people served as a Federation Council’s member, all of them have different backgrounds. This Master thesis is dedicated to the analysis of that backgrounds and give some outputs, which will provide understanding of what is happening inside the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation. There is lack of information about IV Period of the Federation Council’s formation, so this work should provide understanding of this Period.
