Superfluidity of a Bose Condensate in Canonical Ensemble

Student: Belova Lidiya

Supervisor: Alexey Alexeevich Sokolik

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Mathematical Methods of Modelling and Computer Technologies (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2018

This work was devoted to the analysis of the current state of the theory of superconductivity and Bose-Einstein condensation within two of the four most commonly used ensembles: the canonical and the grand canonical ensembles. Also, an attempt was made to simulate the processes that occur when Bose-Einstein condensation occurs-the process of convolution in the framework of writing Python 3 code and using its libraries and methods. In general, the results of the work did not contradict the selected methods and theoretical calculations.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

Summaries of all theses must be published and made freely available on the HSE website.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree. After a thesis is published on the HSE website, it obtains the status of an online publication.
