The Influence of Personal Qualities of Top Management, CEOs and Bod on Stock Returns of Companies

This study focuses on the analysis the influence of personal qualities of CEOs on stock returns of companies in Russian and foreign markets. The paper examined two hundred company executives. The study found following significant factors for foreign companies: the age of appointment as CEO, the tenure, previous CEO’s experience, participation in the board of directors, appointment an internal successor. Significant factors for Russian companies are the CEO’s age and the tenure. The discretion industry level is significant in relation to the issue of the influence of the personal qualities of the CEO on stock returns of companies.
