Factors Determining the Development of E-governance: a Comparative Analysis

The study is aimed at identifying factors that influence the development of e-government. The concept of E-gov is considered in the context of innovations in public policy through the prism of neoinstitutionalism. Analysis of economic, political and socio-demographic data on 161 one country by means of quantitative methods was aimed at determining those factors whose role is important in the development of E-gov. As a result of the analysis, a pool of significant characteristics was determined for the successful implementation of e-government in the state. The highest index of E-gov is in those countries where there is a democratic urbanized society with a stable political system, a high GDP per capita, an open and free sector for economic activity.
