This Master's Thesis is dedicated to the development of a method for evaluating the cost-effectiveness of an automated enterprise assets management system deployment project. In this paper, we examined the general concept of implementing information technology projects, outlined the main theoretical aspects of building a business process structure on the basis of the SAP ERP and IBM MAXIMO platforms, conducted a comparative analysis of integration business processes for preventive maintenance based on two case studies: implementation of SAP ERP platform for the company MMC "Norilsk Nickel" and IBM MAXIMO for "Lukoil". Our proposed method for evaluating of the cost-effectiveness of the IT infrastructure implementation project uses the following key analysis criteria: the TCO-structured analysis of the project investment costs, the economic value added (EVA) index, the information productivity (IP) coefficient, the coefficient of the intangible benefits of the model of K. Murphy and S. Simon on the basis of expert assessment of focus groups, quantitative measure of the decision making time saving effect, as well as a financial indicator of the relation of net costs of sales to the sum of operating costs. This evaluation method allows to calculate the economic effect of the information technologies deployment and provides a high practical significance, necessary for the management of companies that plan to introduce automated control systems.
