Factors of Changing Migration Policy in Germany During the Period of Angela Merkel's Governance

The graduate work written on "Factors of changing migration policy in Germany during the period of Angela Merkel's governance". This paper looks at the following theories, which aim at explaining the policy change: punctuated-equilibrium theory (Baumgartner F. R., Jones B. D) and the advocacy coalition framework(Sabatier, P.A., Jenkins-Smith H., Weible C.M.). It analyzes immigration politict of Germany and pinpoints reasons for changes in the policy relative to the desicions to migrational problems made from 2005 to 2016 by the German government. Work consists of introduction, two chapters, conclusion and bibliography. Key words: policy change, political process, immigration politics in Germany, immigration crisis, factors contributing to changes in immigration politics of Germany.
