Clothing as a Frame For Women Politicians

This paper shows the correlation between clothing and politics, that, at first glance, seems rather strange. There are given historical cases, which in the distant past were factors of social and gender division for society. In the course of the theory of fashion semiotics and on its basis conducts a study of the features of the framing of women politicians through clothing. Studying the clothing elements of women politicians in Russia, the United States and Germany and constructing the meanings and signs that translate clothing.
