Determinants of Acquisition Premium

This work is related to the study of the size of the premium in M ​​& A transactions involving companies from the BRICS countries. In the research we analyze a sample of 816 transactions related to companies from the BRICS countries. The main purpose of the study is to determine the approach to the premium calculation, as well as to identify factors that have an effect on the amount of deal premium. In addition to determining the impact factors, the paper analyzes the hypothesis of the difference in the influence of the selected factors on the premium in transactions involving Russian companies and companies companies from other BRICS countries.
