Determinants of Quality in Secondary Education

The research conducted in current paper is aimed to identify the determinants of quality of educational services in Perm secondary education. The measure of quality of educational services in this research is the average score that school has on the results of unified state exam. The study is based on the sample that includes 115 schools observed during the period from 2012-2013 to 2016-2017 academic years. Thus, an econometric analysis is conducted using panel data. As a result of the study, positive relationship between the results on USE and the share of teachers with higher qualification category, the share of students, who has been the winner of subject Olympiads, and the amount of money received from paid educational services has been revealed. In general, the results received within this research are consistent with the studied literature and the assumptions made.
