The paper contains a summary of a project for academic English syntax stylistic analysis system development. The purpose of the research is to define crucial elements of the syntax style for writing scientific articles and develop an intelligent computer system that can automatically analyze the syntax stylistic. It is assumed the system will perform the syntactic analysis of an input text and issue academic English stylistic instructions. The primary research methods for the development are statistical methods, which are used to identify and collect metrics data; a syntax tree structure and parsing algorithms to represent and analyze syntactic structures of input texts; and programming tools, including the text-mining toolkit, to develop the system. It is suggested the result of the research would be the intelligent system that is designed to perform the syntax stylistic analysis of its input and provide syntactic style recommendations to a user as a result of the analysis.
