Designing a Logistics Risk Management System (in the Functional Area)

Sharply increasing business competition level forces companies to find new alternative ways to enhance their competitive abilities. One of the best steps is to improve business-processes through creating balanced and optimized supply chain. Such an optimization could be achieved through designing a Logistics Risk Management System. This paper describes a proposed study which aimed at designing a logistics risk management system for a certain commodity group «promotional materials». To reach the purpose of the study the theoretical information on supply-chain risks was analyzed through reviewing scientific papers and specific business literature. Results of the study emphasize the importance of logistics risk management system within the organization which is based on a solid theoretical background, as it provides significant business outcomes and, as a result, could become a basis for further studies and researches on the theme of logistics risk management. The offer includes five sections: Introduction to studying, literature review, the methods, results anticipated and the conclusion.
