Features of Resocialization of “Difficult” Adolescents in Art-Based Organizations (the Case of “Upsala-Circus”)

This research is dedicated to the study of the features of resocialization of "difficult" adolescents in an art-based institution - the social circus. The paper presents theoretical approaches to determining the life path and resocialization of a "difficult" adolescent and outlines the discourses used in the discussion of the problem. The field part of the research was implemented in the Upsala Circus in St. Petersburg. As a result, 8 semi-structured interviews with participants and 2 with social worker and project coordinator were collected. In the empirical part, a narrative analysis of the life path of "difficult" adolescents is presented, and catalysts for resocialization are identified - "turning" events and actions in the life course of the adolescent. As a result, the characteristics of such a resocialization environment as a social circus are revealed, as well as features of the transformation process of adolescents.
