None of the concepts of the happiness economy attracted more attention than the Easterlin Paradox. Some people refute the fact of the existence of the paradox, and some of them are looking for the reasons for its occurrence. It is not accidental that this topic earned increased attention: factors that have the strongest positive effect on the level of happiness must be determined because its development should be the paramount goal of the country's policy. The purpose of this paper was to find out whether there is such a phenomenon as Easterlin paradox on the example of financial abilities of Russian respondents for the period from 1994 to 2016. The results testify to the absence of a permanent relationship between income level and the level of life satisfaction, which means that the Easterlin paradox is observed in the period under study.
