Emotional Dependence: From Diagnosis to Coping Strategies

The work "Emotional dependence: from diagnostics to coping strategies" was performed in order to obtain an integrated view of the phenomenon of dependent behavior and its relation to the dependent type of personality. The task was to study theoretical and empirical materials about the manifestation of emotional dependence in various situations - individual and group psychotherapy, during supervision and training seminars and formulate a strategy for diagnosis and therapy of this condition. In the course of the study, the results were obtained on the logic of the development of emotional dependence, the relationship of the dependent type of personality with other psychopathological conditions, the mechanisms for the formation and maintenance of a dependent pattern of behavior. These results formed the basis for practical recommendations for specialists of the helping professions.
