Creating a Portal for Business Intelligence Analysis of Potential Outlets

This project is devoted to creation of a portal of the business analyst for the analysis of potential of trade points. The objects of the study are various outlets. The aim of the work is to study the main parameters by which the potential of outlets is established, and also to identify the optimal BI system for the implementation of the portal. Qualification work consists three parts. In the first part of the article describes methods for analyzing the potential of retail outlets, such as exploring the territory, analyzing the prices of competitors, and etc. The second part compares and analyzes existing BI solutions for business analytics. The third part describes the practical part of the project. In this part, all stages of portal development are considered, from extracting information to processing the results. As a result of the final qualification work, modern BI systems were studied and analyzed. As a result of the comparative analysis, the most optimal system was chosen for the implementation of this project. This system is IBM Cognos Analtycs. On the basis of the chosen solution, a breadboard model of the business analyst portal was implemented to analyze the potential of retail outlets.
