The thesis is devoted to the politics of history, that is narrated and represented in the multimedia installation project "Russia: My History". My analysis refers to the methodology proposed by Hayden White, who suggested to examine the relationship of the three levels of the historical narrative: epistemological, aesthetic and ideological. Being originally a large-scale ideological project of a local ROC group, "Russia: My History" has in time evolved into one of the important instruments of the historical policy of modern Russia, not only offering a standard of "correct" description of history but also creating its new "Gesamtkunstwerk"
