Existential Fulfillment of Partners in Marriage

Currently, the institution of marriage is experiencing significant changes. Some researchers believe that we are witnessing the crisis of the family and marriage, the other part is inclined to the fact that the development of marriage is an evolutionary way, but undoubtedly, its foundations and functions are undergoing significant changes. In connection with the post-modern era, many of the traditional functions of marriage (childbearing, educational, economic, sexual, social) go to the background. At the same time, the focus was on such a function of marriage as the psychological support of partners, the implementation of common interests, the search for the meaning of partners. There is a change in the quality of marriage and satisfaction with marriage. The concept of marriage is understood much more widely - to the forms of marital partnership include not only official registered civil marriage, but also factual marriage, trial marriage and many others. The relevance of the study of the existential fulfillment of partners in marriage is explained by the need to supplement the concept of Existential Fullfilment in close interpersonal relations by exploring the phenomenon in the private sphere of marital partnership relations. The novelty of the study is that, in accordance with current trends, marriage is considered more widely, marital partner relations in the context of the currently existing in society. The practical importance of this work can be attributed to the revealed relationships of various components of the existential fulfillment of partners that can be taken into account in counseling and psychotherapy of couples, as well as in the development of trainings on the topic of partnership relations. The purpose of the study is to reveal the relationship between the existential fulfillment of partners in marriage.
