Development of the Company's Strategy Based on the Analysis of Competitive Advantages in the Postal Industry

The present thesis introduces the strategies of competitive advantages of the companies in the postal sector. The purpose of the paper is to compare the strategies of existing postal companies as a way to achieve competitive advantages for a private Russian postal company. During the comparative analysis of foreign postal companies, as well as on the basis of analysis of the internal and external environment, a strategy for the development of a private Russian postal company was developed. The structure of this thesis includes three chapters. The first chapter is theoretical and contains a description of the strategic management tools required for internal and external analysis of the postal industry and companies, and also give a description of key success factors for the company in a competitive external environment. The second chapter includes a strategic analysis of the global postal industry and Western companies that have the leading positions on the market. This chapter contains the application of the main methods and tools of strategic analysis of the postal industry in order to determine the key factors for success in competition. The third chapter is practical, it defined recommendations for the development of a development strategy for a private Russian postal company based on the analyzes carried out in the second chapter, as well as the analysis of the company itself.
