The Model of Level Assessment of a FL Teachers\' Professional Competence

This master’s degree research work deals with the issue for the level assessment of professional competence of a foreign language teacher. The Russian and European psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature and Russian normative legal documents review on this issue has provided us to determine the components of FL teacher professional competence, to study the existing and design models of certification of FL teachers of secondary school and university, and to offer a model of level assessment of professional competence of FL teacher.
