Game Studies as a Research Tool of Ethical Systems

The article attempts to analyze ethical communication between developers and players using the tools of game systems, mechanics and gameplay and the system analysis of video games. The analysis of different perspectives on game design allows us to understand how to develop ethical gameplay and systems, how they work and how players experience moral experience. The work is devoted to the search for ways to analyze the message transmission through the mechanics of video games and the relationship of developers, systems and players. Ethical systems are game mechanics focused on conveying a certain ethical experience. The paper analyzes the criticism of the concept of procedural rhetoric of Ian Bogost from the point of view of practical ethics of Miguel Siсart and considers the arguments and proposals of both authors. These authors introduce a variety of concepts related to the ethical experience of the player, the analysis of which is necessary for the purposes of the work. During the analysis, considering the necessity of studying instability of systems as a factor that characterizing their behavior.
