The hypothesis presented in research is following: Heidegger's interpretation of Plato's philosophy in the context of the understanding of truth in its connection with the question of the political can be reconstructed in the form of some political-philosophical logic. The conceptual foundation of this thought is Heidegger's complex understanding of the interrelationship of truth (ἀλήθεια), political (das Politische), history (understood as the arena of Heraclites' war, πόλεμος), freedom, education (παιδεία) and philosopher's place in the state. The historical and historical-intellectual context of the corresponding period of Heidegger's philosophy is reconstructed in this paper. For the purposes of systematic analysis of the material, a short thesaurus of the "Being and Time" terminology is developed with critical comments on it. The evolution of Heidegger's views on the approach to the interpretation of truth as unconcealment (Unverborgenheit) is traced. The development of Heidegger's criticism of Aristotle and Plato is studied from the perspective of the reduction of authentic truth to correctness (Rechtigkeit). The content of the two most important texts in the context of the problem is reviewed and compared: the second edition of the lectures "On the Essence of Truth" (1933–34) and the article "The Teachings of Plato on Truth" (1942).
