In this research, are examned the concept of a business model of a commercial bank, various approaches to the definition of a concept, a characteristic, methods for assessing viability. The documents of international financial organizations, the results of studies on the viability of the business model are analyzed. Also, methodological recommendations for the Russian regulator were formed and the business model of the Russian bank was evaluated.
