Criminal trials in the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany: comparative analysis.
The criminal trial is a key stage of the criminal proceedings where the court makes a decision on the guilt or innocence of an accused. The present paper compares the main concepts of the criminal trial in the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany, including its principles, structure, roles of participants as well as the issues of the institution of proof procedure. In addition, this research highlights existing problems of both judicial systems and elaborates recommendations for improving the domestic criminal trial model and judicial system.
