Management of School Education Migration Based on Parents’ Information Requirements

The novelty of the work is in the conceptualization of the notion “school educational migration”, the study of its factors in conjunction with the schools’ informational publicity and parents’ information requirements. The work is characterized as a researching project. The relevance of the work is in the imbalance of the studied educational organizations contingent, frequent facts of educational migration in one district, active educational migration in transitional periods of school life in a one district, the problem of client-orientation in providing information to schools, families’ poor awareness in a choice of the educational institute. The purpose is the development of the model of school migration management based on parents’ informational requirements. To achieve the purpose, during the work, the educational migration character and the reasons for students changing schools were studied on the example of the Petrograd district of St. Petersburg (180 parents, 153 students, 105 teachers). The research results confirm the suggestion according to which the educational migration is related to the lack of information from parents when choosing a school. The results allow us to conclude that it is necessary to manage the school educational migration based on the parent’s information requirements.The concepts and tools proposed in the work can be used for studying educational migration in the net of the district’s educational institutes and monitoring the society’s informational requirement. The created model can be used to make management decisions at the city, district, educational instate level.
