Strategy of the Metallurgical Company of the Russian Federation in Conditions of Overcapacity

The paper discusses the specifics of the industry of ferrous metallurgy and factors of influence over the past 5 years. As a result, the problem of overcapacity was formulated. As a research object, a large metallurgical company of the Russian Federation was selected, for which a strategic analysis was performed, a development strategy was proposed, and key differences from the previously implemented company strategies were identified. To achieve the goals of the new directions of the strategy, the world practice of introducing digital platforms as an implementation tool was assessed and the concept of a digital platform for the metallurgical enterprise of the Russian Federation was developed.
