The purpose of this paper is to build a simulation model that reflects the demographic situation of Vladimir Oblast and allows us to solve the demographic problems of the region. The demographic statistics of Vladimir Oblast in recent years show that the measures taken by the regional administration to improve its demographic condition do not allow it to succeed in solving the demographic tasks. The main objective of this work is to analyze the current situation using the simulation modeling methodology and, taking into account consideration of measures taken in the past, identify alternative ways to solve the existing demographic problems of the region and obtain appropriate recommendations for the implementation of demographic policy, thus examining the effectiveness of simulation modeling in solving problems of demography.
