Improving Planning Process in a Wholesale Company

The problem of this paper is the improvement of the planning process on a case of a wholesale company. The object of the research is the Russian representative office of the Italian manufacturer, which produce small and medium size kitchen appliances. The subject of the research is the organization of the planning process in the focus company, as well as the approaches to its improvement. This paper contents of 107 pages including 16 tables, 30 figures, 4 appendixes and 50 references. The first chapter analyzes the economic activities of a focus company, examines in a dynamic way its economic indicators and features of its logistics activities. The second chapter provides an overview of the main technologies of integrated planning. Also in this chapter the choice of one of the technologies is made as the basis for further modification taking into account the specificity of the industry and focus company. The final section of the chapter defines the proposed procedures for improving the planning process. The third chapter of this paper is focused on modeling the implementation of the developed procedures in the focus company. The estimation for the effectiveness of the proposed solutions is set out in the last section of the chapter. In conclusion, the summary of the results reached and reported in this paper are reported.
