This article examines how and with the use of what the museum operates as an agent of political socialization in the framework of the case study of the Museum of Political History of Russia. Practices of the Museum of Political History of Russia as an agent of political socialization and the object on which they are directed are explored. The practices of the exposition and the excursion are analyzed in detail by considering the exposition "Man and Power in Russia in the XIX - early XX centuries" as the main exposition of the museum. Considered how and with the use of what the narrative is presented in the practices of the exposition and the excursion. These practices are analyzed through an interpretive paradigm with using the method of condensation of meanings. The exposition and the excursion are analyzed by the following theories: the opposition of personal memory and history (M. Halbvaks concept), forgetting policy (P. Ricker's concept), sites of memory as social groups memory (P. Nora Concept). According to the theory, it is considered: which events are presented, which are not presented, what objects are used to symbolize the past, how they are described during the excursion, which social groups are represented. The excursion clarifies the context of political life and socio-economic circumstances, while the exposition demonstrates events and documents of the political life.
