The present study aims to examine how the means towards masculinity are connected to certain helth-related practices and risk-taking. The study is based on Connell's model of hegemonic masculinity and Courtenay's adapted explanatory model of Connells in men's health. To achieve the aim, we will employ a qualitative method of semi-structured interviews with young men. The results anticipated may demonstrate how informants make sense of their heath-related practicies and risk-taking through references to culturally approved type of masculinity. The discourses of "attitudes to health", "sport", "health-related practices", "risk-taking", "attitudes to man's body" are discussed in the study. The findings of the study are claimed to contribute the explanation of statistical indicators in men's health.
