Market with Complementary Goods: Compatibility factor of Social Welfare

This paper investigates the social impact of complementary good's compatibility using the Salop Circular city model and the one made by Carmen Matutes and Pierre Regibeau. More precisely, it examines whether or not entrant should be compatible to the incumbents and how his decision will affect the welfare of producers and consumers. All this is made to study standardization problem discussed by economists.
