Recent researchers demonstrate that economic crises had impact on healthcare and public health in different countries by decreasing government financing and level of equipment and staffing in system, however, these studies have not yet identified the affect in the Russian Federation. The purpose of this work is to determine if economic crises 2008 and 2014 had negative impact on healthcare system and public health in Russia and identify main characteristics of economic crises which had the greatest influence. For this reason, possible channels of impact were revealed through literature review and relationship between economic crises and healthcare and public health were defined by statistical analyses. The main result showed that there were different connections between economic factors and healthcare and public health in Russia. From these results recommendation may be stated that anti-crises government policy should be prepared in regions taking into account the unemployment rate, real income of population and government financing of healthcare.
