Factors Determining the Choice of Production Location of International Chemical Companies in Developing Countries on the Example of Russia

The economic growth and long-term development of the country are not possible without and effective investment policy, which should consist of not only domestic investments but also effective foreign investments. Foreign investments are the base of economic development, growth of domestic product competitiveness, acceleration of economic and technical progress, increase of production of high and innovation products. That is why it is necessary to stimulate inflow of the foreign investments into economy of the country. Chemical industry is one of the basic branches of Russian economy. Nowadays it is not as prosperous as it can be, so we decide making our research in the context of this industry will be relevant. As a main tool for the research it was decided to choose factor analysis. The main goal of this research will be to create classification of factors which can help a foreign investor to make a decision about production location in Russian Federation, to identify regions which can be attractive for the international chemical companies.
