During the American society formation period in 1783-1841, there appeared, and later the idea of America being a “God chosen country,” got a wide spread, which brought thousands of immigrants into the country in order to create an exemplary in all respect society and state, was widely adopted. American society believed in “American exclusivity”, which, in the opinion of American politicians, obliges America to uphold the idea of democracy at any point in the world, and, if necessary, to protect it. The paper analyzes the relationship between the United States and the DPRK: the military-political aspect. One of the largest threats to international security on the world stage is the North Korean nuclear program. The international community, primarily the United States, the European Union, South Korea and Japan view the nuclear activities of the DPRK as a serious challenge to world stability, because the latter not only undermines the foundations of the nuclear nonproliferation regime, but also carries with it the danger of transferring nuclear weapons, materials or technologies to terrorist groups, unstable authoritarian regimes or "failed states".
