This work is devoted to the study of export, innovation and industrial policy of Canada, Australia and New Zealand in the context of their trade in goods and services with China. Through a thorough analysis of both internal and external factors affecting international economic relations, the author identifies the most promising areas of increasing exports to China. Special attention was paid to preferential and non-preferential trade regimes. In addition, the limitations and challenges faced by these countries in their trade relations with China were also studied. Extrapolating the experience of Canada, Australia and New Zealand to the Russian realities, the author makes recommendations on increasing Russian exports to China through two strategically important areas: a competent approach with Chinese specifics and increasing the science intensity of natural resources exports.
