The trend of modern society is that an increasing number of people are thinking about what makes them happy, filling and happy? What are their values and meanings? What do they live for and what do they want to come to in their life? People experience a real, genuine experience of joy in those moments when they are involved in activities for the benefit of others. About this, our study, in which we tried to highlight the question of what still drives people acting with dedication for the benefit of others? We carried out an empirical study, which was a qualitative analysis of a semi-structured in-depth interview. We used the method of phenomenological descriptive analysis (A. Giorgio, B. Giorgio), with the help of which the main themes were identified in the work, semantic condensates were determined. Next, a phenomenological analysis was carried out and an interpretation of the interviews of respondents was presented in accordance with the theory of existential analysis. The sample consisted of 9 respondents aged from 24 to 64 years, 7 women, 2 men. The main result of the analysis was the understanding that individuals of different levels of fulfillment of existence can enter into activity with dedication for the benefit of others and in the process replenish their fm levels, go into self-transcendence. It was also possible to come to the conclusion that individuals solving their problems and deficiencies in their activities or, acting from psychodynamic coping reactions, are not able to go into self-transcendence and be performed at the 4th fm level. The paper describes in detail the stages of the analysis, presents the procedure for the analysis, describes and interprets the results obtained, and also points out the limitations of the study. Keywords: dedication, self-transcendence, fulfillment, existential analysis
