Recommendations for Procurement System Development in JSC “Russian Railways”

The need to improve the inventory management system in big companies is due to the potential cost reduction, as well as the rapid development of technology in this area. This work is aimed at studying forecasting and inventory management in procurement, analyzing the activities of the Oktyabrskaya DOP, as well as finding ways to improve the supply system in this division of JSC «Russian Railways» and developing recommendations based on regression modeling and analysis of this system. The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of the procurement system using the example of one of the divisions of Russian Railways. The object of the study is the regional subdivision of the Oktyabrskaya DOP branch of JSC «Russian Railways». Subject of research - the use of regression analysis to predict the need for material and technical resources. The result of this work is the analysis of the supply activity of the Oktyabrskaya DOP, developed recommendations based on the constructed regression model and the estimated predictive apparatus, and performance parameters from the potential implementation of these recommendations are evaluated. The work consists of 5 parts: introduction, first chapter (theoretical), second chapter (analytical), third chapter (practical) and conclusion.
