Riercing the Corporate Veil: Doctrinal Approaches and Practice of Application

This bachelor's study is devoted to the study of the content of the doctrine of piercing the corporate veil, as well as the comparison of this institution with similar in content in Russian law, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the boundaries of its application to develop recommendations for building a balanced system of bringing to personal responsibility of the company's participants while maintaining the rules on the independence of the legal entity and its participants. The relevance of the study is due to the instability of the economy, which is one of the reasons for the failure of persons to fulfill their obligations. The first Chapter describes the content of "piercing the corporate veil", the study of different approaches to its application, as well as a comparison of the content of the doctrine in Russia and the United States. The second Chapter analyzes the practice of applying the doctrine in Russia and the United States. Also, the Russian legislation on this issue is considered in more detail.
